Manufacturer Reviews
Home, farm and auto use mostly. The welder is a great little unit and has an impressive duty cycle. It's easy to use, easy to move around and doesn't weigh much, so it's easily portable. The "running" gear/cart is also exceptional and heavy duty, though assembly requires using self tapping screws. I used a small 1/4" impact driver just to get them started, and then hand tightened with a screwdriver. Be careful as the steel thickness doesn't allow a lot of thread contact and they can be stripped if using too much force. Components that come with the packages are more than adequate, high quality overkill for most of my applications and not the cheap stuff you often see with lesser machines. However, I did not like the "bonus" package with a welding helmet and a spool of flux-core wire. The value is just not there. My dealer, (Cyberweld), offers a discount if you do not take the "bonus offer." which is much more beneficial. Note that the unit does not come with a spool gun. My initial thoughts on a shortfalls is the dual gas piping configuration. A modification to allow selection of which gas goes to the front gas port for Aluminum MIG spool gun welding would be beneficial and more convenient. As it sits now I have to disconnect the argon hose and attach the spoolgun gas line directly to the regulator. This is easily resolved with a Y-valve, but having it internal to the machine makes the convenience of Millers two gas system more complete.
